During the first year of its existence,  the Net4Science academic spinoff  has focused its activity to grow its business in the marketplace panorama  by looking for direct collaborations with both regional, national and foreign companies and institutions. It has been an intense year full of commitments and with many satisfactions that have allowed the whole Net4Science team to accumulate a considerable experience and to increase their skills in several important fields.

The first relevant initiatives were launched just few months before Net4Science was set up. Net4Science has concluded its first year of activity organizing the the Workshop entitled “Scientific Research and Enterprise Enhancement” – From agrifood to nutraceutical: competitive itineraries for the development of the territory, in which many companies belonging to the agricultural field took part and in which topics concerning the opportunities for the valorization of typical products and the use of public and private financial instruments for the economic support of business development projects were discussed (link).

Along with the above-mentioned actions, a consistent work in the field of the scientific research was carried out daily by the whole Net4Science team with tireless constancy, which constitutes the fundamental pillar of offered services. A very important investment in knowledge for the spinoff, translated in the first year alone into fourteen scientific publications on peer-reviewed journals that represent the current scientific portfolio of Net4Science (link).

After these first steps, not easy but full of satisfactions, Net4Science intends to follow the path taken with conviction and tenacity, setting itself the goal of making available to pharmaceutical companies and agrifood the knowledge accumulated over the years in the laboratories of the Medicinal Chemistry Group of the University “Magna Græcia” of Catanzaro.
